Rob Del Moro

Rob Del Moro is a Co-Founder of Marble City Entertainment. In 2018 he founded Strategies Plus Solutions LLC, a full-service business consulting group, specializing in Procurement, Food and Beverage, Marketing and Operations. His clients include Gerson Lehrman Group Austin, TX (GLC), Third Bridge New York, NY, the Independent Cinema Alliance (ICA), and the Cinema Buying Alliance (CBA) Dallas TX.. He is a 42-year cinema industry veteran. From March 2014 to March 2018 he was the Chief Technical and Theatre Operations Officer for Regal Entertainment Group.  He supervised five business units, Theatre Operations, Purchasing, Technical Services, National Service Accounts, and Customer Relations. From January 2001 through February 2014 he served as Senior Vice President, Chief Purchasing Officer overseeing three business units, Food Service, Purchasing and Technical Services. From September 1998 to December 2000, Mr. Del Moro served as Senior Vice President, Purchasing.  From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Del Moro was Vice President, Food Service.  From 1996 to 1997, Mr. Del Moro was Vice President, Entertainment Centers and Food Service.  From 1995 to 1996, Mr. Del Moro was Vice President, Marketing and Concession.  From 1994 to 1995, Mr. Del Moro was Director, Theatre Promotions and Concession.  From 1978 to 1994, Mr. Del Moro was employed at General Cinema Corporation in various positions; Assistant Manager, Manager and Area Manager. 

 

He is a native of White Plains, New York, and has attended college at Seattle Central Community College, and The City University of New York. Mr. Del Moro also served on the Advisory Board of the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), and was the Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of CinemaCon. In addition, he served on NATO’s Technology Committee, and on the NATO Cinema Globalization Committee representing the United States. In 2009 Mr. Del Moro was awarded the NATO SouthShow Statesman of the Year award. Mr. Del Moro is a former Board member of The Regal Foundation, as well as, a former Executive Board member and Past President of Variety of Eastern Tennessee, a children’s charity, and former Board of Director and Trustee for The Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneer Foundation He currently  sits on the Advisory Board of the Tennessee Smokies Baseball Team, a minor league AA affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, and is on the Board of Directors of The Fort Sanders Hospital Foundation

Matt is a Co-Founder of Marble City Entertainment. In 2018 he founded Motion Picture Research, a software company providing management operating systems for cinemas.  MPR's solutions increase cash flows by providing greater control, measurement, and visibility into the most significant day-to-day operational decisions.  His clients include both small and large cinemas as well as Vista Entertainment Solutions. Prior to starting Motion Picture Research, Matt spent nearly a decade at the Regal Entertainment Group where he served as Vice President of Business Analytics and oversaw information and strategy until the Company was sold in February 2018 for $5.8 billion. He was integrally involved in operational strategies surrounding film, labor management, pricing, and the loyalty program. In addition to operational strategy, Matt also managed local competitive strategy as well as the selection, review, and approval process for capital expenditures, including new theatre builds and luxury renovations, which totaled nearly $1 billion over his nine years at Regal. Matt spent the first five years of his career in public accounting. He started working in tax and audit and earned his CPA license. Matt was then recruited to join Crowe’s Chicago based M&A Transaction Services Group where he served as Manager. Matt taught business administration at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Haslam College of Business and served as President of the Advisory Board for The Department of Business Analytics and Statistics.  He routinely guest lectures on the topics of integrity, communication, and culture.

Matt currently serves on the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries and served on past Boards for the University of Tennessee's Business Analytics and Statistics Department (past president), Nucleus Knoxville (past president), Dream Connection, Cerebral Palsy Center, and Young Variety Children’s Charity.
